Snohomish County business filing deadlines
Personal property listing. If you own or operate a business in the county, you report your business equipment to the Snohomish County Assessor by April 30 each year.
Late listing.Under RCW 84.40.130, the county adds 5% of the tax for each month or part of a month late, up to 25%. The first month’s penalty is capped at $50 a day. The Assessor grants no extensions, and waives the penalty only where you show reasonable cause and no willful neglect.
State excise returns. The Washington State Department of Revenue assigns you a monthly, quarterly or annual filing frequency for B&O and sales tax.
New business. We register you with the Department of Revenue for a UBI, the state business number, and set up your excise and Assessor filings before the first one is due.
We put each date on your calendar and prepare the listing from your equipment records.
You review each filing before we send it.
